The Eastern Krkonoše Mountains are a paradise for children and family vacations. You can combine nature excursions in the National Park with an engaging program that every child will enjoy. Right here in Vavřinec, they can let off steam at the outdoor playground and during our entertainment programs. We offer a children’s playroom, a teen lounge, and a VR gaming room.

Alpine Coaster Relaxpark

The 900-meter-long bobsled track is located right behind the Aparthotel. It is open on weekends in the spring and daily in the summer.

Monkey park

There are 3 different courses to choose from, with the shortest one suitable for children under 140 cm. You can look forward to a 70-meter-long zip line.

Cable Cars in Pec and the Surrounding Area

There are four cable cars in the Pec area that operate during the summer, including the one to Sněžka. Use the cable cars to reach the starting point of your hikes.

Pecka Play Landscape

You'll find a natural playground with climbing structures in the shape of Giant Mountain animals on Portášky. Admission is free. You can reach Portášky by taking a chairlift from Velká Úpa.

Lemurie Children's Park

Right next to the bobsleigh track in Pec, you'll find giant trampolines, climbing frames, and slides. Here, children can have a blast while you relax on the sunny terrace of the CrêPec pancake house.

The highest lookout tower in the Giant Mountains

You'll find the highest lookout tower in the Giant Mountains at the upper station of the Hnědý vrch cable car in Pec. 138 steps lead to the top.

Tree Top Trail

Climb from the roots all the way up to the treetops. From up high, you can spot the brown bears Michal and Alice. Right next to the trail, you can also enjoy the “Emil’s Forest World” playground.

You can go on an e-bike trip even with children. Just attach a Thule trailer and you can go anywhere.

Černohorské Peat Bog

The Černohorské Rašeliniště Nature Reserve is the largest peat bog in the Krkonoše Mountains. An educational trail runs through it, offering beautiful panoramic views.

You'll find this playground on Černá hora at the upper station of the gondola lift. Admission is free with a lift ticket.

You can conquer the highest Czech mountain on foot or take the cable car from Pec. As accommodated guests in Vavřinec, you also get a 30% discount.

Harrachov Glassworks

Take a tour of one of the oldest glassworks in the world. You’ll get to watch glassblowers and glass cutters at work, and you might even take home one of their pieces.

The Fairy Tale Trail through Malá Úpa

A trail featuring 10 magical stops with fairy tales, interactive activities, and picturesque views of the eastern Krkonoše Mountains. After collecting all the ornaments, children will receive a reward at the information center in Malá Úpa.
